Our story

On September 4, 2026, in front of a painted mountain mural, Dan got down on one knee and asked Desiree to marry him. She said yes.

Golf carts, lake days, mountain trails and a lot of road between them: these are a few of our favorite moments together. We can’t wait to celebrate the next one with you by the river in Glen Rose.

Us, lately

Our honeymoon

Miami → Barcelona · May 2027

Having you there is the gift — truly. No gifts are expected.

If you’d still like to give something, we’d be so grateful for a little help with our honeymoon: a transatlantic cruise from Miami to Barcelona leaving May 2, then home from Spain to New York on May 29. Anyone is welcome to chip in, whether or not you can make it to Glen Rose.

Good to know

What will the weather be like?

Early April in Glen Rose usually means highs in the mid-70s and evenings around 50°F, with a chance of spring showers. Bring a layer for after sunset.

What should I wear on my feet?

The ceremony is outdoors on natural ground by the river. Wedges, boots or flats will serve you better than stilettos.

How do I get to the ceremony spot?

Please arrive about 60 minutes early. Park at the resort and wait in the Lone Star Lodge, where appetizers and refreshments will be served while the golf carts take everyone down to the river. See the resort map for the lodge and the ceremony spot.

Do you have a registry?

No registry — your company is plenty. If you’d like to give something, our honeymoon fund is the one place we’ve set up.

When will the invitations go out?

Formal invitations with the schedule and RSVP will be in the mail early in 2027. Watch this site for updates.

Is it bluebonnet season?

It should be! Early April is peak bluebonnet time in Central Texas — plan for a few extra minutes on the drive.
